Actuarial Analyst

Location: Regional Office, Lahore

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the Lahore-based actuarial team in executing actuarial tasks related to corporate business (group life, group health, credit life) and individual short-term insurance. Responsibilities include pricing, reserving, loss ratio analysis, and actuarial reporting. The role uses Excel-based models and requires coordination with multiple departments and external partners to support technical and operational objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESULTS:

·        Assist in development and update of Excel pricing models for group and credit life products.

·        Prepare monthly reserving calculations and loss ratio summaries.

·        Support renewal pricing and experience studies for group products.

·        Assist with budgeting and business planning actuarial inputs.

·        Help analyze and reconcile data for reinsurance reporting.

·        Coordinate with IT, Distribution, and Operations on system changes and technical queries.

·        Prepare actuarial content for internal reviews and performance dashboards.

·        Provide data support for audit and regulatory responses.

SKILL SET:

Qualifications/ Experience/ Capabilities

·        Minimum: 2–4 actuarial exams passed (SOA or equivalent)

·        Desired: BBA/BS with actuarial science or finance background

·        Experience: 0–2 years of experience in actuarial, analytical, or financial reporting roles

Skills:

·        Proficient in Excel modeling (formulas, data lookups, charts, dashboards)

·        Strong numerical and analytical ability

·        Ability to handle high volumes of structured data

·        Familiarity with short-term insurance products is preferred
