Assistant Manager CPP Film Line

Position: Assistant Manager/ Shift Incharge – CPP Film Line

Reporting to: Manager CPP

Location: Port Qasim Plant, Karachi

Contract Type: Permanent

Grade: E2


Key Accountabilities

  • Lead shift operations to achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety (QCDS) targets for the CPP Production Line.
  • Develop and execute production plans to ensure optimum machine utilization, productivity, and adherence to daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
  • Monitor key production KPIs including OEE, yield, wastage, downtime, line efficiency, and customer complaints; implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Food Safety, ISO Management Systems, WCM practices, and company SOPs.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production losses, quality issues, and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Planning, Warehouse, Utilities, and Engineering to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction projects.
  • Lead manpower planning, shift allocation, performance management, coaching, and capability development of Shift Incharges, Operators, Apprentices, and Helpers.
  • Ensure timely reporting and analysis of production performance, resource utilization, process deviations, and operational risks to management.
  • Support new product trials, process optimization, equipment commissioning, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Polymer, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's degree would be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of production experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Experience in CPP/BOPP/Flexible Packaging or Polymer Manufacturing preferred.

  • Production Planning & Capacity Optimization.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000.
  • Safety Management Systems.
  • SAP ERP (Production Module preferred).
  • MS Office and Production Reporting.
