Assistant Manager Procurement - Imports

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for effective & efficient execution of day to day procurement activities to ensure smooth and continuous operations of the plants/business, as well as, contribute to the business P&L by implementing the Co.'s Procurement Strategy and through innovation projects, whilst ensuring compliance to Co. SOPs, applicable standards and approved budget.
1. SHE - Compliance, Reporting & Risk Assessment
2. Execute daily procurement activities effectively
3. Develop/execute buying plan in line with Group's Procurement Strategies and overall Co. policies.
4. Negotiate to buy smartly and competitively
5. Identify/activate alternative suppliers and unlock localization opportunities
6. Continuously explore and analyze saving opportunities to generate value
7. Monitor market trends and compile best pricing estimate for the business
8. Ensure the superior availability of material supply for assigned portfolio
9. Support the procurement sustainability agenda in the business
10. Develop strong relationship with suppliers & improve their service and quality
11. Ensure responsible sourcing compliance of suppliers
12. Independently handle Trade Related matter with bank and treasury
13. Independently handle custom clearance procedure including but not limited to import documentation, LC opening, and coordination with clearing agents for timely clearance of shipments
14. Build and maintain strong vendor relations with international suppliers
15. Implementing transformational projects and innovations in Procurement.
