Assistant Manager - SAP ABAP

This position will be responsible to support business users across the Group companies in its SAP operations, optimization of existing processes, support with the issues and new requirements by designing and maintaining the SAP WRICEFs and SAP Integrations. This position will also be part of all SAP Projects technically by creating applications using SAP BTP and SAP FIORI platform to automate the company’s processes.

Skills & Knowledge

1. Skilled in ABAP programming language, ABAP objects, and related technologies such as IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE, and SAP Enhancement Framework.
2. Familiarity with SAP development tools, such as ABAP Workbench and Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
3. Good understanding of SAP modules, such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, or HCM etc. Knowledge of relevant business processes and integration points between different modules.
4. Expertise with hands on development experience in RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements and Forms).
5. Experience of SAP integration technologies, such as IDocs (Intermediate Documents), BAPIs, RFCs, ODATA Services using NetWeaver Gateway and other Web Services.
6. Knowledge of SAP FIORI, SAP BTP and cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Primarily supporting business operations by identifying and resolving technical issues in existing SAP applications across the group companies. This includes debugging code, analyzing error messages, and applying fixes or enhancements to ensure proper system functionality.
2. Designing, coding, and testing ABAP programs to customize and enhance SAP applications based on the specific requirements of the organization. This involves developing new functionalities, modifying existing programs, and integrating custom solutions within the SAP environment.
3. Collaborating with functional consultants and business users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the SAP Digital Transformation Project.
4. Creating technical documentation, such as technical specifications, program documentation, and system diagrams, to facilitate future maintenance, knowledge transfer, and collaboration with other team members.

6. Providing ongoing support and maintenance of ABAP programs and SAP applications. This includes troubleshooting production issues, analyzing system logs, and applying bug fixes or patches as required.
7. Designing solutions using new cloud technologies i.e. SAP BTP, SAP FIORI, SAP IS, SAP DWC, SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI etc. for smooth and optimized business processes.
