Assistant Manager - Software Development

Packages Group IT is seeking a high-performing Assistant Manager – Software Development to lead the development and delivery of modern, scalable applications across the Group’s diverse businesses. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with project leadership experience and a passion for digital innovation. You will play a central role in managing project-based teams, mentoring junior developers, and delivering impactful solutions by exploring new or existing technologies/initiatives supporting broader Group-wide digitalization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment of high-quality web and mobile applications using Flutter, .NET, Node-JS, Laravel and other modern technologies.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery, code quality, and solution stability.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in development and documentation.
• Address and troubleshoot complex issues and implement scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and frameworks to enhance development speed and efficiency while supporting broader Group-wide digitalization initiatives (e.g., SAP integrations, AI/ML pilots, RPA rollouts).
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge for self and team members by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, analysts, and IT leadership.
• Coordinate with cross-functional project teams and contribute to IT strategy execution.
