Assistant Manager Supply Chain

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Support end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring purchases and operational requirements are completed efficiently, within approved budgets, and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and contractors through competitive sourcing, quotation analysis, and tendering processes.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors, including negotiation of bids, pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions to achieve optimal value for the organization.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain procurement and contractual documentation, including purchase orders, agreements, approvals, supplier records, and supporting documentation.
  • Process vendor invoices and coordinate their submission to Finance, ensuring all required purchase orders, approvals, and supporting documents are complete for timely payment processing.
  • Monitor supplier performance across quality, service, delivery, reliability, and commercial parameters, and follow up on corrective actions where required.
  • Conduct procurement and supply chain risk assessments, compile relevant data, and prepare reports identifying potential risks, mitigation measures, and areas requiring management attention.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and demand patterns to support inventory optimization, minimize stockouts, and control carrying costs.
  • Coordinate transportation, receiving, distribution, delivery, and warehouse-related activities to ensure timely and accurate movement and availability of goods.
  • Analyze procurement and supply chain data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, process gaps, and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the standardization and improvement of procurement, tendering, and supply chain processes by supporting the implementation of best practices and more efficient workflows.
  • Manage procurement requirements for marketing initiatives, events, activations, promotions, and other company-wide projects, ensuring timely sourcing and achievement of project milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, mall management, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve procurement and supply chain issues and ensure smooth operational continuity.
  • Support supplier audits and operational assessments to ensure compliance with agreed standards, service requirements, quality expectations, and organizational procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable safety requirements, ethical procurement practices, compliance standards, and organizational policies across procurement and supply chain activities.
