CCTV Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Will work under the orders/instructions of security head through CCTV Surveillance Officer/ CCTV Shift in charge/ supervisor
• Responsible to maintain the control room operationally worthy round the clock
• Will understand and abide by the SOPs and protocols of Mall security
• Will undertake proactive monitoring of CCTV cameras and report any abnormality observed in security and other protocols to the security head through proper channel or directly according to the dictates of situation
• Maintain communication with security staff and all departments
• Maintain and update records/ logs in the CCTV control room i.e. telephone / incidence / observation / operator/ complaint log
• Assist Shift in charge in handling and guiding movement of security apparatus and incidence / observation / operator/ complaint log
• Assist Shift in charge in handling and guiding movement of security apparatus and Emergency Response Teams in case of emergency
• Assist Shift in charge or independently undertake investigation of the cases with help of CCTV cameras
• Will ensure all tasks given in CCTV Standing Operating Procedures
• Responsible for installing and maintaining CCTV systems of the Mall as directed Assess risks and ensure proportionate measures to protect the CCTV equipment from being damaged or become out of order on occurrence of any failure
• Have to follow all the EHS compliance

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors 

• Intermediate with Diploma in electrical / electronics
• CCTV Course - Preferred
• Knowledge of installation of CCTV cable infrastructure and structured cabling
• Knowledge of computer, networks, and IT related systems and Microsoft software
• Knowledge of pulling, terminating and troubleshooting structured cabling (CAT5, CAT6), Basic PC and LAN networking background
• Ability to use test equipment such as ethernet cable tester
• Ability to read/understand floor plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner
• Good Analytical skills and attention to the details
• Ability to perform multitasked operations
• Ability to work independently
• Physically fit with no body impairment
