Deputy Manager Security

Key Accountabilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers, CCTV operators, and other security personnel to ensure effective coverage and response to security incidents within the shopping mall.
• Develop and implement security protocols, procedures, and emergency response plans to mitigate risks, prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of security equipment, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and respond to security threats, suspicious activities, and safety hazards in real-time, and coordinate with mall management and law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches of security, and prepare detailed incident reports, documentation, and evidence for review and follow-up action by mall management and authorities.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security weaknesses, assess threats, and implement measures to enhance security posture and resilience.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to security personnel on security procedures, emergency response protocols, customer service standards, and conflict resolution techniques.
• Liaise with external security service providers, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders to coordinate security operations, share intelligence, and collaborate on joint security initiatives and investigations.
• Maintain documents and records of security incidents / investigations and prepare periodic incident trend analysis reports.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging security technologies to suggest improvements in security measures within the shopping mall.
• Any other tasks assigned by Head of Security and Surveillance.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, security management, or related field; additional certification in security management, law enforcement or military courses in related field is preferred.
