EHS Engineer

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Ensure & endeavour to achieve Goal Zero ( Zero Fire, Zero LTI) at PREPL
  • To be the change agent for inculcating HSE culture in Retail Centre and Construction projects through confident and consistent efforts towards upskilling of staff that includes both internal and external staff.
  • Ensure timely review, reporting, recordkeeping, standardisation, and analysis of EHS statistics (EHS Dashboard) translating into meaningful insights and tangible outcome for risk mitigation.
  • Timely preparation and updating EHS dashboards, procedures/plans. Track the number of incidents (LTIR, TRIR, Fire etc) and re-evaluate the controls (C&PA) reports
  • Conduct and review risk assessment of retail centre and construction activities and present to PREPL management for mitigation. Enabling risk minimization through deployment of standardized, sustainable and proactive control measures.
  • Ensure training and induction of 100% retail staff, workers, management and contractors. Ensure conduct of TNA and Job Specific Trainings for 100% of staff (internal & external) and enable compliance of training calendar
  • Develop and assist EHS Manager in revising procedures to improve Emergency Response program, Incident Management and Crisis Response at the site, conduct drills and ensure readiness to combat emergency scenarios.
  • Ensure implementation of Contractor safety management and hazardous works protocol for internal and external staff including tenant to safeguard asset
  • Developing and initiating EHS Campaigns for all stakeholders
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments at both retail and construction sites.
  • Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues on project sites

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors 

 

  • Engineer in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/Civil
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in the field of Environment, Health & Safety.
