Entomologist

Purpose:

This role is responsible for the fumigation/pest control for the Corn storage across StarchPack facilities in cost efficient manner along maintaining the Safety/Food Safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead fumigation and spraying operations in silos, corn pyramid stacks, and factories
• Provide field and factory support for pest and weevil management
• Install and monitor pheromone traps for pest detection and control
• Monitor maize health and ensure hygiene control in storage facilities
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of silos and warehouses to prevent contamination
• Manage pest control machinery and ensure safe chemical usage
• Budget and monitor pest control chemicals for cost-effective operations
• Ensure adherence to food safety and environmental standards
• Maintain records of pest control activities and prepare reports for management
