Purpose:

This position is responsible for Production, Maintenance, Finishing product, Research & Development, EHS and SC management at the Plant. The role requires overseeing operations for smooth functioning of the Wet Mill, Modified Starches and Glucose Refinery by devising a strategy for efficient systems to deliver on quality and production targets. It includes responsibility for strategic planning, leading complex management changes and requirements, implementation of efficient operational systems and achieving overall Company goals. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting the operations of the business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to the said role, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices and internal standards.
  • Follow Company policies. Serve as a safety representative to ensure safety rules, regulations and initiatives are being strictly followed.
  • Responsible for budget analysis in accordance with sales forecasts, capacity, production, and inventory management.  Seek profitability from operations.
  • Maintain, manage, challenge and own budgets, ensuring all targets are met. Review, challenge and approve product developments, volumes, and budgets. Oversee customer complaints, expenditure, quality compliance and periodically reviewing and strategizing department plans to StarchPack’s objectives.
  • Ensure workplace safety and oversee all activities pertaining to providing a safe, fun, efficient and pleasurable work environment.
  • Develop KPIs to monitor the production quality, finishing times, planning, inventory levels and cost effectiveness of key operations to ensure that the desired results are achieved.
  • Plan, manage & execute materials’ procurement & operational supplies and ensure adequate inventory in liaison with Supply Chain Department.
  • Analyze Plant’s infrastructure and make recommendations for better utilization of space, energy, and comfort of workforce to perform on the machines. 
  • Evaluate and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, and other assets to enhance Mill’s production capabilities. Analysis of current assets and functions to recommend areas with possible solutions.
  • Manage overall talent acquisition, teams’ development & engagement by working closely with HR function to build an environment of safety, equality, and respect.
  • Lead WCM and similar other company initiatives. Effectively resolve and prevent Customer complaints through WCM methodology. Enhance plant teams’ agility and focus on customer satisfaction regarding product and service quality.
  • Responsible for managing administrative & legal affairs at the plant.
  • Has administrative authority as per company policy.
