Purpose:

The Production Manager will contribute to the Company’s growth by coordinating the production demands and targets involved in the production of starch. One of the most important duties for this role is to ensure that production meets output and quality goals, while remaining within budget limitations.  This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by the employee.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To meet organizational production goals by developing new ways to use resources – whether human, material or capital – most efficiently. They may determine which machines to use and when, and how many workers are needed to achieve maximum output.
  • Reviewing production orders for accuracy. Develop production schedules and duty assignments, making strategic decisions as necessary to alter programs when time or budget limitations are reached.
  • Responsible for supervising and mentoring direct-report staff.  Other duties related to developing worker teams for maximum production flexibility.
  • Controlling costs is one of the most important duties. Monitor every stage of production, analyzing current methods and developing new ways to save steps, time and materials in order to reduce costs.
  • Solving problems related to production quality ensure continuous quality improvement. Work with other departments to maintain quality production. Solving technical and organizational problems by cooperating with all
  • Monitor processes, materials and surroundings. Monitoring and reviewing information from materials and processes to detect or assess problems.
  • Organizing, planning and prioritizing work. Developing specific goals which plan to accomplish production targets.
  • Scheduling events, programs and activities for own team to understand various concepts of efficiency.
  • Responsible for the identification, assessment and prioritization of risks in the respective role followed by coordinated and cost-effective application of resources to minimize, monitor and control the probability of the occurrence of unforeseen risks.
  • Responsible for conducting the operations of the business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to the said role, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards.
  • Follow all Company policies. Serve as a safety representative to ensure safety rules, regulations and initiatives are being strictly followed.
  • Has administrative authority as per Company Policy.
