Senior Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading the actuarial team based in Lahore and managing all actuarial aspects of corporate and short-term individual insurance business. Key responsibilities include pricing, reserving, budgeting, loss ratio analysis, product development, and reinsurance coordination. The role supports cross-functional collaboration and requires direct interaction with internal and external stakeholders using Excel-based models and tools.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESULTS:

·        Lead the actuarial team in Lahore managing corporate and short-term individual product lines.

·        Oversee pricing and quotation support for group life, group health, and credit life products.

·        Supervise preparation of reserving models and monthly loss ratio reports.

·        Conduct experience studies to support assumption setting and renewal pricing.

·        Collaborate with reinsurance teams for data, pricing terms, and settlements.

·        Coordinate with Finance and Distribution teams for budgeting and business planning.

·        Support development and modification of group and short-term product offerings.

·        Monitor business performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations.

·        Assist in system implementation and testing for product and pricing changes.

Indirect Reports: Actuarial Trainee(s)

Budget: Responsibility for cost/revenue allocated budget

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

Important Decisions/ Decisions you are expected to take:

·        Pricing of group quotations within internal frameworks

·        Selection of methodologies for loss ratio tracking and reserving

·        Coordination of data submissions and analysis for budgeting

Decisions that you propose and the boss needs to authorize:

·        Changes to pricing or product structure for corporate offerings

·        Revisions to actuarial assumptions with material business impact

·        Recommendations for new group or short-term product designs

SKILL SET:

Qualifications/ Experience/ Capabilities

·        Minimum: Near Associate of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or equivalent

·        Desired: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or equivalent

·        Experience: 4–5 years of actuarial experience in group life, health, or short-term insurance lines

Skills:

·        Strong Excel-based pricing and reserving capability

·        Familiarity with group insurance principles and client servicing
