Shift Chemist/ Senior Shift Chemist

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide support shifts for timely and precise analysis from raw material selection, In-process materials as well as finished goods.

Job Responsibilities:

• Chemical Analysis: Perform routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment. This includes testing for moisture content, protein levels, fat content, ash, and other relevant parameters.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality control tests to ensure that products meet company and industry standards. Identify deviations from specifications and work with production teams to resolve any quality issues promptly.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor various stages of the production process to ensure that it is operating within established parameters. Collaborate with production personnel to maintain optimal process conditions and troubleshoot any process-related issues.
• Data Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all analyses and test results. Generate reports summarizing the data, trends, and any deviations encountered during the shift. Communicate findings effectively to supervisors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results. Notify appropriate personnel if any equipment requires servicing or repairs.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) during laboratory activities. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other chemists, scientists, engineers, and production staff to support research and development initiatives, process improvement efforts, and product innovation.
